Quick Coffee Cake from Carla?

- 1/2 cup white sugar (was 1 cup -- Mom says she usually does 1/2 cup)
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 tsp. cinnamon ("1 t." I think is teaspoon here. Mom says she uses a bit more than this though.)
Combine the above and set aside 1/2 cup of this mixture.
Add to main portion:
